We are a trustworthy and reliable firm – providing professional services to our clients since 1971. We are committed to serving the best interests of our clients, always respecting their privacy and confidentiality and endeavouring to deliver an excellent standard of legal practice.

In 1971, John Connor combined his Wynnum practice with Peter Hunter’s Cleveland practice and Connor Hunter Solicitors was established. The founding partners have long since retired but their values persist in the Firm they have founded.

Both Mr Connor and Mr Hunter were active in the community, taking a personal interest in their clients’ needs and the needs of the community.

Building on the founding partners’ ethos, Connor Hunter continues its strong ties to community.

Today, we have embraced modern techniques but continue with a focus on service.

Connor Hunter became an incorporated legal practice in 2008 and now trades via the company, Connor Hunter Pty Ltd ACN 131 056 169. Mr Robert Newton is the legal practitioner/director of the company.

We have offices at:

  • Wynnum – a bayside suburb of Brisbane, Queensland (near Manly); and
  • Cleveland – a bayside suburb in the Redlands to the east of Brisbane, Queensland.

Mr Robert Newton

Admitted as a solicitor in 1992.
Robert is the Legal Practice Director of the firm.

Ms Andrea Newton

Admitted as a solicitor in 1994.
Andrea joined Connor Hunter in 1994 and was a partner of the firm, prior to incorporation in 2008.

MR ALLAN McKENZIE – Senior Associate

Allan has over thirty years of post-admission experience in all aspects of property law, including commercial, corporate and strata.

Allan’s depth of knowledge enhances the services we provide and his role with us includes:

  • Property development including purchase, development requirements, sub-divisionand off the plan sales;
  • Commercial and investment property due diligence;
  • Partnership, company and trust structuring for property developments andinvestments;

Ms Nicole Currie – Conveyancer

Nicole is a friendly, organised and thorough conveyancer. She prides herself on ensuring that the move from or into your home, is as smooth as possible.
Nicole also has experience in meeting the needs of first home buyers and assisting investors in the sale or purchase of investment properties.

MR PAUL COVES – Consultant Solicitor

Paul is a consultant solicitor specialising in litigation and mediation.

He is a nationally accredited mediator and accredited family dispute resolution practitioner (FDRP).

Nicole was admitted as a solicitor in 2006 and has a background in behavioural science specialising in child psychology. Nicole specialises exclusively in all areas of family law including:

  • Property Settlements (both married and de facto);
  • Child Support;
  • Mediations;

Mr David Loveband – Senior Associate

David was admitted as a solicitor in 1979 in New South Wales and has a background of working as a solicitor and partner for 25 years in Glen Innes, New South Wales. David moved to Queensland in 2008. The areas of work David undertakes include:

Ms Lohenay Trewheellar – Senior Conveyancer

Senior Conveyancer, Lohenay Trewheellar has years of experience assisting clients to navigate their way through the conveyancing process. Lohenay has a depth of professional knowledge in the areas of residential contracts for house and/or land as well as off-the-plan, sub-divisions and units. Lohenay also has experience in commercial Contract transactions.

Lohenay’s clients will benefit from her experience and professionalism ensuring that the conveyancing process is a smooth and informative one. Based at our Cleveland office, Lohenay is happy to answer any queries you might have in relation to your sale or purchase.

Ms Tina Percy – Conveyancer (JP Qual)

Tina is a long time Redlands resident and has worked in the law for over 26 years.

During that time she has developed a very broad knowledge of property law and the conveyancing process.
Tina has excellent knowledge of the Redlands and South-East QLD and has a great network within the property industry with a dedicated following of repeat clients. Tina is well recommended by those who deal with her.
